Ger Robinson

Ger Robinson is an Irish football striker born on June 9, 1982, in Dunboyne. He last played for Kildare County in the League of Ireland and has also been involved in Gaelic football, managing the Meath under-20 county team. Robinson began his career as a youngster at Middlesbrough, training alongside notable players like Fabrizio Ravanelli, Juninho, and Paul Gascoigne. However, he never progressed to the senior team and returned to Ireland on loan with Dundalk F.C. after ITV Digital's bankruptcy.

Robinson scored on his League of Ireland debut for Dundalk in August 2001 and won an FAI Cup medal in 2002. He later played for Kilkenny City, Monaghan United, and Longford Town before transitioning to Gaelic football. With St Peters Dunboyne, he won a Meath Senior Football Championship title in 2005, earning man-of-the-match honors in the final.

Robinson returned to soccer with Kildare County, balancing it with his GAA commitments. Between the 2006 and 2007 seasons, he scored 10 goals in 15 appearances for Kildare County but managed only one goal in 31 games during the 2008 season when he focused solely on soccer. After retiring as a player, he became manager of St Peters Dunboyne and later led the Meath under-20 football team from 2019 to 2020. In December 2020, he was appointed manager of Clogherinkoe.

Robinson's honors include an FAI Cup with Dundalk in 2002, a Division 3 North title with Dunboyne o35s in 2022, and a Meath Senior Football Championship medal with St Peters Dunboyne in 2005.
