Temsah 1

The Temsah 1 is an Egyptian mine-resistant and ambush-resistant MRAP armored personnel carrier designed for roles including convoy protection, border patrol, counter-insurgency, troop transport, medical evacuation, and command and control. Developed by Kader Factory for Developed Industries, it was unveiled in 2016 and displayed at the EDEX 2018 exhibition.

The vehicle features a fully welded V-shaped steel armor hull, providing protection against 7.62 mm shell attacks. It includes a heavy-duty air conditioner, bulletproof windows, side and back doors with locking mechanisms, and firing ports for troops inside. Optional systems like military paint, machine gun mounts, and shock-absorbing floors can be added. It is equipped with three-day and one-night cameras for surveillance, displaying feeds on a 9-inch monitor.

Armed with a 40 mm automatic grenade launcher and options for 7.62×51mm or 12.7×99mm rifles, the Temsah 1 offers high protection levels: mine resistance (STANAG-4), ballistic protection (BR7), and glass protection (BR7). It can reach speeds of up to 80 km/h with a range of 600 km, featuring a 6-cylinder diesel engine.

The vehicle has undergone development stages, starting with the first version in May 2015. The Temsah 1A and 1B versions introduced improvements such as increased armor, enhanced front design, explosion-proof seats, and additional features like self-inflating tires and night vision cameras. It is available in variants for different military applications.

Operators include Egypt and Libya.
