Paul Benbow noted its brassy yet slow tempo, linking it to their 1981 debut album *Penthouse and Pavement*. The song was released in various formats: a 7-inch single with "This Is Mine" (3:20) and "Skin" (3:40), and multiple 12-inch singles featuring extended mixes like the Filmix, Cinemix, and an Extended version.
