Wang Qiang serial killer
Wang Qiang (1975–2005) was a Chinese serial killer, rapist, and robber from Liaoning Province, known for being one of China's most prolific murderers. Born into a troubled family, he left home after enduring abuse from his father, who was addicted to alcohol and gambling. Living on the streets as a child, Wang was beaten by fellow beggars in 1990 and later coerced into pickpocketing by an older man.
Wang's criminal activities began with theft, leading to a two-year labor camp sentence after stealing a wallet in 1991. He committed his first confirmed murder on January 22, 1995, and was eventually convicted of 45 murders, 10 rapes, and 34 robberies. Many of his crimes occurred in public parks, targeting men for robbery and women for rape and murder. Wang often attacked with accomplices and recalled killing a family of three in Xutai Village in July 2000.
Arrested on July 14, 2003, after being implicated by imprisoned accomplices, Wang confessed during an 18-month interrogation. Sentenced to death on March 23, 2005, he was executed by firing squad on November 17, 2005.
Wang's case highlights the brutal crimes committed in China and is documented alongside other serial killers in historical records.
