Wian du Preez, born on 30 October 1982, is a South African rugby union player who plays as a loosehead prop for Lyon in France. He began his career with the Free State Cheetahs from 2007 to 2010. In late 2009, he joined Munster on a three-month loan as injury cover and later signed a two-year contract in May 2010, becoming a key player for the team. Du Preez scored his first try for Munster against Castres Olympique in January 2012 and extended his contract with them in February 2012. He left Munster in May 2013 to return to South Africa but later moved to France, joining Lyon ahead of the 2014–15 Top 14 season.

Du Preez has won multiple Currie Cups with the Free State Cheetahs (2005–07) and a Pro 12 title with Munster in 2011. In international rugby, he was called into the South Africa squad for the Test against Italy in November 2009 but later decided to halt his international career due to limited opportunities and CJ van der Linde's return to the Springbok squad. He resumed his international career after the next Rugby World Cup.
