Hazar Tabbakh ( born August 9, 1964, in Aleppo, Syria) is a Syrian poet and writer known for her poetry collections, including "On the Surface of Smoke, I Float," which explores themes related to Syria and Lebanon. She grew up in Aleppo and later studied civil engineering before shifting to English Literature. Tabbakh began writing poetry as a child and actively participated in literary events during her school years.

Her career highlights include membership in several literary forums such as Al-Hakaya Literary Forum, the Free International Association of Arab Translators and Linguists, Al-Fakhora literary Forum, and Al-Brari Forum, where she often supervised poetry sections. She won second place for her poem "we were finished" at a competition organized by Al-Hakaya Literary Forum.

Tabbakh has published several notable works: "On the Surface of Smoke, I Float," featuring 18 poems; "Shadow Scattering," issued by Khatwah For Publishing and Distributing; and "Praying for Gaza," co-published by Dar-Alamir in collaboration with Al-Hakaya Literary Forum. Her poetry often addresses themes of her homeland, the Gaza Strip, and personal reflections.
