Thyresis is the debut studio album by Brazilian melodic death metal band Thyresis, released in 2011. It is a concept album that explores personal experiences and societal critiques, aiming to present these ideas positively while addressing challenges. The album's name reflects a philosophy of overcoming life's obstacles. The track listing is divided into five sections: *Silence Feels No Hold*, *Once Silent Voices Of Mine*, *Silence Feeds No Hope*, *Thy Resistance*, and *Silence Fills No Hole*. These sections include both instrumental tracks and songs with vocals, such as "Journey," "Voices Of Me," "A Dead Resource," and "Strength Within." Tracks 6 and 12 feature a speech by American serial killer Charles Manson. The album's lyrics were primarily written by Victor Hugo Targino, except for two tracks co-written by Josué "Kain" de Queiróz.

The band consists of Victor Hugo Targino (bass, lead vocals, guitars), Danilo Rufino (guitars), Eduardo Borsero (guitars), and Demetrius Pedrosa (drums). Targino also handled production, mixing, and engineering. Additional contributions include drum engineering by Marcelo Macedo and Paulinho "Tazz," vocal engineering by Arthur Ferraz, mastering by Jens Bogren, artwork by Rafael F.S., and band photos by Rodolfo Salgueiro.
