The Wilson School is an independent, coeducational preparatory school in St. Louis, serving students from pre-kindergarten (age three) through sixth grade since 1913. It is recognized as the oldest formalized early-childhood education program in St. Louis. The school employs 21 full-time teachers and three part-time teachers, maintaining a student-to-faculty ratio of 8:1. As of the 2017–2018 school year, enrollment was 160 students. Early Care and Extended Day programs are available daily, including during summer camp and school breaks.

The Wilson School is accredited by the Independent Schools Association of the Central States (ISACS) and the North Central Association (NCA). It holds memberships in organizations such as the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS), Independent Schools of St. Louis (ISSL), Educational Records Bureau (ERB), and Council for the Advancement of Private Education (CAPE).

Located on a quiet, tree-lined street in Clayton's DeMun neighborhood, the school is near Forest Park. The historic building at 400 De Mun Ave was designed by architect William B. Ittner in 1916, with the school moving there in 1960. A fire in March 2012 caused significant damage, leading to temporary relocation to the Maryland School until January 2013 when renovated facilities reopened, preserving the building's historic character.

In 2013, The Wilson School celebrated its 100th anniversary with festivities and the publication of "The Wilson School - Celebrating Excellence Since 1913" by former Head Eugene D. Ruth.
