Tome-Adelino was a census-designated place (CDP) in Valencia County, New Mexico, with a population of 2,211 at the 2000 census. By the 2010 census, it had been split into two separate CDPs: Tome and Adelino. The area is part of the Albuquerque Metropolitan Statistical Area. Geographically, Tome-Adelino spans 6.1 square miles (16 km²), all of which is land. It is located at 34°43′44″N 106°43′11″W (34.728771, −106.719736). As of the 2000 census, the population density was 365.5 inhabitants per square mile (141.1/km²), with 830 housing units averaging 137.2 per square mile (53.0/km²). The racial makeup included 62.37% White, 0.32% African American, 1.31% Native American, 0.23% Asian, 0.05% Pacific Islander, 31.12% from other races, and 4.61% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino individuals made up 63.36% of the population. Household data showed that 780 households included 40.6% with children under 18, 59.2% as married couples, 14.4% as female householders without a husband, and 21.3% as non-families. The average household size was 2.83, and the family size averaged 3.18. Age distribution revealed 28.1% under 18, 8.1% aged 18–24, 29.9% aged 25–44, 24.4% aged 45–64, and 9.5% over 65, with a median age of 36. Median income for households was $27,361, and for families, it was $32,708. Median incomes were $25,321 for males and $31,875 for females, with a per capita income of $14,871.
