Werewolves and Lollipops
"**Werewolves and Lollipops**," Patton Oswalt's second comedy album, was released on July 10, 2007. It was recorded in Austin, Texas, and includes a bonus DVD featuring an additional performance at the 40 Watt Club in Athens, Georgia. The track "America Has Spoken" appeared on the Sub Pop Records Facebook Sampler on iTunes. A limited vinyl edition of 500 copies, released by Stand Up! Records in April 2010, included the bonus DVD and a download code for the album's contents.
The album received generally positive reviews. Almost Cool Music Review praised Oswalt as one of the funniest working comedians. The Orange County Weekly described his riffs as "gratifying and unhackneyed," while Stylus Magazine gave it a B+ and called it a classic, highlighting Oswalt's prime comedic skills. Pitchfork referred to it as Oswalt's magnum opus.
