The Port of Santo Domingo, located at the mouth of the marine entrance to the city of Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic, is 16 kilometres from the port of Rio Haina. It serves both turnaround and transit vessels and is undergoing a major renovation project aimed at integrating the port area with the city's Colonial Zone to attract high-end tourism.

The project, supported by legislation passed in 2005, involves a private consortium. Key developments include the rehabilitation of two terminals (Don Diego and Sans Souci), dredging works in the approach channel and turning basin, construction of a sports marina, and a 122-acre real estate development. The Don Diego Terminal was refurbished by December 2006, while the Sans Souci Terminal, completed by May 2008, is designed to handle large ships and nearly 3,800 passengers.

The port's climate is mostly sunny with an average temperature of 28–30°C. It experiences hurricane season from June to November. The Don Diego Pier has a length of 400 meters, while the Sans Souci Pier measures 250 meters. Both piers feature advanced security systems and are equipped to handle large vessels.

The port's renovation aims to create an attractive destination for cruise and high-end tourism, blending modern infrastructure with respect for the city's historical architecture.
