Tyler Badie, born on February 7, 2000, is an American professional football running back for the Denver Broncos in the NFL. He played college football at the University of Missouri. Born in New Orleans, Badie's family moved to Randallstown, Maryland, after being displaced by Hurricane Katrina in 2005. They later moved to Memphis, Tennessee, following his junior year of high school. In high school, Badie excelled as a sprinter for the Owings Mills Track Club and competed in the 2011 AAU Junior Olympics. During his senior year at Briarcrest Christian School, he rushed for 1,186 yards and scored 18 touchdowns on 193 carries. At Missouri, Badie had a strong college career. As a freshman, he earned SEC All-Freshman honors with 437 rushing yards and two touchdowns. By his senior year in 2021, he led the team with 32 receptions for 356 yards and five touchdowns, earning Second-team All-American and First-team All-SEC recognition. Badie was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL Draft. He was waived and joined their practice squad before being signed by the Denver Broncos on December 29, 2022. He made his NFL debut in Week 18, scoring a touchdown against the Los Angeles Chargers. In 2023, Badie faced roster changes, being waived and re-signed to the Broncos' practice squad. In 2024, he was elevated for games against the Pittsburgh Steelers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, showcasing strong performances.
