Elder band

Elder is an American rock band formed in Massachusetts in the mid-2000s by Nick DiSalvo (guitars, vocals), Chas Mitchell (bass), and Matt Couto (drums). The band has undergone several lineup changes over the years. Current members include Nick DiSalvo, Jack Donovan (bass since 2008), Mike Risberg (guitar, keyboards since 2017), and Georg Edert (drums since 2019). Former members are Matt Couto (drums until 2019) and Chas Mitchell (bass until 2007).

Elder released their debut LP in 2009, followed by *Dead Roots Stirring* in 2011. They signed with Stickman Records for their third album, *Lore*, in 2015. Subsequent albums include *Reflections of a Floating World* (2017), which ranked fifth on Rolling Stone's list of top metal albums for 2017, and *Omens* (2020). Their sixth full-length studio album, *Innate Passage*, was released in November 2022.

The band has also released several EPs, including *The Gold & Silver Sessions* (2019) and a collaborative album with Kadavar titled *Eldovar – A Story of Darkness & Light* (2021). Elder is now based in Berlin, Germany.
