Forever Alesso album

"Forever," the debut studio album by Swedish DJ and producer Alesso, was released on May 22, 2015, by Def Jam Recordings. Alesso described the creation of the album as a deeply personal and fulfilling journey, expressing pride in his work and gratitude to his fans and collaborators.

The album received mixed reviews, with a Metacritic score of 53 out of 100 based on four critics' reviews. David Jeffries of AllMusic praised Alesso's versatility and use of "funky electro," highlighting the track "Profondo" as particularly impressive. Maura Johnston of the Boston Globe noted that while "Destinations" was the album's standout track, she felt the project overall felt incomplete. Colin Fitzgerald of PopMatters criticized the album for feeling more like a business move than a genuine creative effort, pointing out unoriginality in "Heroes (We Could Be)." However, he acknowledged the tracks "Payday" and "Destinations" as亮点.

The deluxe edition of the album was available outside North America. The track listing includes collaborations and samples, such as uncredited vocals on "If It Wasn't for You" by Simon Strömstedt and "In My Blood" by John Martin, along with a sample from Kylie Minogue's 2010 single "Get Outta My Way" in "Cool."
