Larry Pearson

Larry Pearson, born on November 2, 1953, is an American former stock car racing driver and the son of three-time Winston Cup champion David Pearson. Known for his success in the Busch Series, Pearson won championships in 1986 and 1987, amassing impressive statistics including 15 wins, 78 top-five finishes, 129 top-ten finishes, 12 poles, and six top-ten point finishes. However, his brief stint in the Winston Cup saw limited success with only 57 starts and three top-ten finishes. His last NASCAR appearance was in 1999 in the Busch Series.

In a notable incident on March 20, 2010, Pearson sustained serious injuries during a legends race at Bristol Motor Speedway. He was involved in a crash with Charlie Glotzbach, resulting in a fractured pelvis, broken right hand, and a compound fracture of his left ankle. After surgery, he was released from the hospital and transported to Charlotte for further recovery.

Pearson's career highlights include participation in various NASCAR series, though his Busch Series achievements remain his most significant accomplishments.
