Niki Greek political party

The Democratic Patriotic Popular Movement "Niki" (Δημοκρατικό Πατριωτικό Λαϊκό Κίνημα «Νίκη») is a far-right political party in Greece, founded by educator Dimitris Natsios in 2019. The party's main ideological axes are "Faith, Fatherland, Family," focusing on education reform, stricter nationality laws for immigrants and refugees, and measures to address the demographic crisis, such as supporting large families. It is strongly associated with the Greek Orthodox Church but has faced denials of support from some monasteries.

In the 2023 parliamentary elections, Niki secured 3.7% of the vote, winning 10 seats in the Hellenic Parliament and forming the 7th Parliamentary Group. In the 2024 European elections, it gained 4.42%, electing one MEP, Nikos Anadiotis. The party's stronghold is in Northern Greece and Macedonia.

Ideologically, Niki promotes ultra-conservative values, opposes LGBTQ+ rights, sex education, and criticizes government corruption. In foreign policy, it advocates for neutrality and aligns with pro-Russia stances on Ukraine.

The party's structure includes two bodies: the Vouleftirion, an unaccountable, secret group of seven members, and the Omaikhmia, a 28-member body representing its public stance. The party has faced criticism for lack of transparency in candidate selection during elections.
