Sandhya Mridul
Sandhya Mridul is an Indian actress known for her roles in Bollywood films and television. Born in Mumbai, she moved to New Delhi with her family at a young age. After her father's death at 14, she was raised by her elder brother Siddharth, who became a prominent judge. She attended Lady Sriram College in Delhi, graduating in Mathematics and later working as a marketing executive in Mumbai.
Mridul began her acting career in television with roles in serials like *Swabhimaan*, *Banegi Apni Baat*, and *Koshish*. Her breakthrough came in the 2002 film *Saathiya*, where her performance was well-received. She gained international recognition when her show *Koshish Ek Asha* was telecast in China. Moving to films, she appeared in *Page 3* (2005), which was a commercial and critical success.
Known for taking non-conformist roles, Mridul has acted in offbeat films like *Strings*, *13th Floor*, *Chowki*, *Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd.*, *The Great Indian Butterfly*, and *Via Darjeeling*. She also starred in *Ragini MMS 2* (2014), where she played a kissing scene with Sunny Leone.
Mridul was the first runner-up on the reality show *Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa* (Season 2) (2007). Despite losing, she maintained that she had won hearts. In 2008, she served as the youngest Indian jury member at the Shanghai Television Festival.
In 2016, she portrayed Nazneen Khan in *POW Bandhi Yudh Ki*, a role highlighting her acting versatility.
