The DuMont Evening News was an American news program that aired Monday through Friday at 7:15 PM ET during the 1954–1955 season on the DuMont Television Network. Hosted by Morgan Beatty, the 15-minute show was the network's third and final attempt at a nightly news broadcast. Previous attempts included The Walter Compton News (June 1947 to 1948) and I.N.S. Telenews/Camera Headlines (January 1948 to 1949). The DuMont Evening News followed the popular Captain Video and was canceled due to the network's financial struggles.

Beatty, who had moved from NBC News, returned there after the show ended. He gained fame for announcing the launch of Sputnik 1 on NBC Radio in 1957. No episodes of the DuMont Evening News are known to exist, as kinescopes were not widely used during its run.

The program's cancellation marked the end of DuMont's efforts in nightly news, with no surviving episodes available today.
