Jojo Abot (born 4 August 1988) is a Ghanaian artist and musician based in Brooklyn, New York City. Her work encompasses video direction, acting, modeling, singing, and multimedia performance. Drawing inspiration from her home country, she often uses her first language, Ewe, to title her work and as a creative foundation. Abot's musical influences include Fela Kuti, Ebo Taylor, Seun Kuti, Common, Stephen Marley, Lauryn Hill, and Erykah Badu. She has performed alongside notable artists such as Seun Kuti, Common, and Stephen Marley.

Abot’s debut album, *FYFA WOFO*, released in 2016, was inspired by her grandmother's name and explores the narrative of an African woman becoming pregnant with a white man's child. This project expanded into a multimedia work during her time at NEW INC, the New Museum's incubator program. Her music blends genres like jazz, afropunk, hip hop, soul, tribal, and indigenous sounds, focusing on themes such as black empowerment, personal histories, identity, and spirituality.

In 2018, Abot released her second EP, *NGIWUNKULUNKULU*, which translates to "I am God" in Zulu. This work reflects her exploration of identity in response to apartheid's legacy in Johannesburg, South Africa. Her signature style, termed “afro-hypno-sonic,” combines Afrobeat, futuristic soul, and electronic beats. Abot was an artist-in-residence at National Sawdust in 2018 and premiered the immersive opera *A Good of Her Own Making* there on September 24, 2022, in collaboration with Esperanza Spalding.
