Daario Naharis is a fictional character in George R.R. Martin’s *A Song of Ice and Fire* series and its TV adaptation, *Game of Thrones*. Introduced in *A Storm of Swords* (2011) and further developed in *A Dance with Dragons* (2014), Daario is the charismatic leader of the Second Sons, a sellsword团体. In the books, he switches allegiance from Margaery Tyrell to Daenerys Targaryen, playing a key role in the Siege of Meereen.

In the TV series (*Game of Thrones*), Daario’s backstory is expanded. His mother sold him as a child to gladiatorial pits, where he became a skilled fighter and gained freedom after his master died. He later joined the Second Sons and eventually pledged allegiance to Daenerys. Over multiple seasons, Daario proves himself loyal to Daenerys, helping her conquer Meereen, negotiating with Yunkai, and leading charges against the Sons of the Harpy.

The character is portrayed by two actors: Ed Skrein in the first three episodes of Season 3 and Michiel Huisman for the remainder of the series. The actor change was initially attributed to Skrein’s role in *The Transporter Refueled*, but he later revealed it was due to “politics.” Both actors later starred together as enemies in the Netflix film *Rebel Moon* (2023) and its sequel (*Rebel Moon 2*, 2024).
