SplendidCRM is an open-source Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software developed using C# for the ASP.NET framework. It offers two editions: Open Source and Professional, with the latter including stored procedures and source code for a MS Outlook plug-in. Founded in 2005 by Paul Rony, SplendidCRM emerged as a .NET-based alternative to LAMP stack applications, gaining popularity in the .NET developer community. Initially modeled after SugarCRM but using original code, it complies with the Sugar Public License 1.1.3 and features assets like icons from SugarCRM.

SplendidCRM targets small businesses where Microsoft CRM is deemed expensive or complex. It can be deployed as Software-as-a-Service (SaaS). The Professional edition's licensing model charges based on the number of developers, not end-users. SugarCRM later transitioned to the GNU Affero General Public License version 3 (AGPLv3), allowing SplendidCRM to adapt and offer greater flexibility for developers in creating their own products without prior restrictions.
