Eric Adjepong

Eric Adjepong is an American chef, television personality, and author known for his appearances on various Food Network programs, including hosting *Alex vs. America* and co-hosting *Wildcard Kitchen*. Born in the Bronx to Ghanaian immigrants, he was the first in his family born outside Ghana. He holds a degree in culinary arts from Johnson & Wales University and a master’s in international public health nutrition from the University of Westminster. Adjepong married Janell Mack in 2016; they have a daughter but later divorced.

His culinary interests include American Southern, West African, Caribbean, and South American cuisines. He co-owns *Pinch and Plate*, a Washington, D.C.-based catering company that hosts pop-up events. Adjepong gained recognition as a Top Chef: Kentucky season 16 finalist, where his finale dish highlighted the impact of the transatlantic slave trade on Southern cuisine. He has also competed on *Top Chef: All-Stars L.A.* and appeared in shows like *Guy Fieri's Tournament of Champions*. Additionally, he has served as a judge on Food Network competitions such as *The Great Soul Food Cook-Off* and *Chopped*.

Adjepong was set to open a restaurant called *On the Double* but faced delays. Since January 2022, he has hosted *Alex vs. America*, which is in its third season. He authored *Sankofa: A Culinary Story of Resilience and Belonging* with illustrator Lala Watkins in 2023.
