Domhnall Dubh (c. late 15th century – 1545), a Scottish nobleman from Clan Donald, was the son of Aonghas Óg, chief of Clan Donald, and Iseabail Ní Mheic Cailéin of Clan Campbell. His grandfather, John of Islay, had once held the Lordship of the Isles but lost many lands and titles in 1476. After Aonghas rebelled against the Scottish crown and was killed by his harpist in 1490, Domhnall Dubh, as an infant, was captured by Colin Campbell, 1st Earl of Argyll, and imprisoned in Innischonnel Castle.

In 1501, with help from Torcall MacLeòid, Domhnall escaped captivity. However, he was recaptured in September 1506 after five years of freedom. He remained a prisoner for another 37 years until his release in 1543. By then, the north-west had risen against the crown, and Domhnall sought to reclaim his ancestral power. In August 1545, he secured an alliance with England, acknowledging Henry VIII as his sovereign and supporting the Earl of Lennox as regent of Scotland.

Despite these efforts, Domhnall's plans were cut short when he died in Drogheda, Ireland, later that year. His death ended any hopes of reviving the Lordship of the Isles.
