West Kensington is a London Underground District line station located on North End Road (B317) near its junction with West Cromwell Road and Talgarth Road. It is situated between Earl's Court and Barons Court in Travelcard Zone 2, within a cutting and features a ticket office at street level.

The station opened as 'North End (Fulham)' on September 9, 1874, by the District Railway, initially extending from Earl's Court to Hammersmith. It was renamed West Kensington in 1877. The Midland Railway ran an unsuccessful "Super Outer Circle" service from May 5, 1878, to September 30, 1880. In 1927, the entrance building was rebuilt by Charles Holden, who also designed the Northern line's Morden extension.

The off-peak service includes six trains per hour to Ealing Broadway and Richmond, with twelve trains per hour to Upminster. The station is served by London Buses Routes 28, 306, and Night Route N28.

In 2009, due to financial constraints, the project for step-free access was halted. Earl's Court and Hammersmith stations provide step-free access, being one stop east and two stops west of West Kensington respectively. The project had already spent £5.05 million before its suspension.
