Butch Woolfolk was a standout fullback who played college football for the Michigan Wolverines under coach Bo Schembechler from 1978 to 1981. He was part of two Big Ten championship teams and set school records, including leading the conference in rushing yards as a freshman and amassing 1,253 yards during his senior year.

Woolfolk's professional career began with the Cleveland Browns, where he earned All-Rookie honors after a strong debut season. He later played for the Houston Oilers and Detroit Lions, transitioning between tailback and fullback roles while contributing significantly to his teams.

After retiring from football, Woolfolk entered the real estate industry, focusing on affordable housing projects in Houston.
