Ervin J Rokke
Ervin J. Rokke, a retired lieutenant general in the United States Air Force, served as President of Moravian College until his retirement in 2006. During his tenure, he was recognized for his exceptional leadership, which significantly enhanced the college's academic programs, student quality, and infrastructure. At his retirement commencement, he received an honorary doctorate from Moravian College, with the Board Chair praising his integrity and achievements as extraordinary by the institution's 264-year standards.
Pamela Rokke, his wife, was also honored for her dedicated support of college activities and students. She served on New Bethany Ministries' Board of Directors in Bethlehem for six years. Post-retirement, the couple relocated to Monument, Colorado.
Rokke's military career included roles as Brigadier General and Dean of Faculty at the United States Air Force Academy in the 1980s, and he later became President of the National Defense University. He holds degrees from the United States Air Force Academy (BS) and Harvard University (MA, PhD).
