Grupo Cadena
Grupo Cadena, formerly known as Cadena Baja California, was a media company based in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico, with offices in San Diego, California. The company owned media properties in Tijuana, Ensenada, Tecate, and Mexicali. Its history began in 1936 with the establishment of radio station XEBG-AM in Tijuana, followed by XEDX-AM in Ensenada (1950), XEMBC-AM in Mexicali (1964), and XEWV-FM in 1974. In 1990, CBC launched its first television station, XHBJ-TV channel 45 in Tijuana.

In November 2010, XESPN-AM switched from ESPN Radio affiliation to a news/talk format as "Noticias 800." On January 24, 2011, CBC rebranded its radio stations under the "Cadena" name and expanded XESPN-AM to "Cadena 800 AM."
In November 2019, XHBJ-TV ceased broadcasting as a Televisa affiliate and became "45 TV Tijuana," airing programming from Multimedios TV. In January 2020, XEWV-FM changed its format to "Suena FM" with pop music in Spanish. On May 22, 2022, several stations, including XESPN-AM, XEBG-AM, and Mexicali's XEMBC-AM, ceased broadcasting and moved their content online-only.
Cadena had previously owned XEMMM-AM in Mexicali, which was sold to Organización Editorial Mexicana's ABC Radio division in 2004.
