Zhejiang Leapmotor Technology Co., Ltd., trading as Leapmotor, is a Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer founded in 2015 by Dahua Technology's Fu Liquan and Zhu Jiangming. The company launched its brand in March 2017 and released its first product, the S01, in November 2017, with deliveries beginning in June 2019. Leapmotor developed an AI chip, Lingxin 01, for autonomous vehicles in collaboration with Dahua Technology, entering testing in 2019. The company planned three models (S01, T03, C11) between 2018 and 2021.

In May 2020, Leapmotor partnered with FAW to develop intelligent EVs, launching the T03 city car priced between ~US$15,000 and ~US$24,000. The C11 crossover followed in November 2020, featuring dual motors and a 707 km range. In August 2023, discussions began with FAW-VW for Jetta brand manufacturing.

Leapmotor's global expansion started in October 2023 when Stellantis acquired a 20% stake, forming Leapmotor International (51:49 JV) to enter global markets. The C10 SUV was unveiled at IAA Mobility 2023. Initially considering Italian production, the T03 was instead assembled in Poland from May 2024. Sales commenced in Europe in September 2024 and expanded to Asia-Pacific, Middle East, Africa, and South America by Q4 2024. Six new models are planned starting 2025, with T03 and C10 leading.

Leapmotor's current models include S01, T03, and C11, with the upcoming C10. The company aims to launch at least one new model annually for three years, focusing on global market penetration.
