Sherwood is an animated science fiction series created by Diana Manson and Megan Laughton, reimagining the Robin Hood legend in a dystopian future. Premiering on YouTube Premium in March 2019, the show is set in 2270 Britain, devastated by environmental disaster. It focuses on socioeconomic themes, with 14-year-old hacker Robin Loxley leading rebels against the Sheriff of Nottingham, who rules the affluent Upper City.

The main characters include Robin, a tech-savvy heroine; Iniko, a submarine pilot; Gisbourne, the Sheriff's son and security head; and the Sheriff himself. Supporting characters like Tui, Gripper, Rose, Thomas, and Juba add depth to the narrative.

Produced by Baby Octopus in collaboration with Google, the series targets pre-teens, emphasizing female empowerment and technical skills. Inspired by the cyberpunk manga Akira, Sherwood features a futuristic soundtrack blending world music elements. Behind-the-scenes specials highlight character development, with voice actors praising Robin's complexity and leadership.
