"The House of Bondage" is a 1914 silent film drama directed by Pierce Kingsley and starring Lottie Pickford. Based on Reginald Wright Kauffman's novel, the movie was not well-received by Pickford, who reportedly disliked it. The film features an ensemble cast, including Armand Cortes as Max Crossman, Susanne Willis as Rose Legere, Herbert Barrington as Angel, and Vivian De Wolfe as Katie Flannigan.

A legal battle over the film's rights occurred when The Social Uplift Company sued Photo Drama Motion Picture Company, claiming they did not hold the motion picture rights to Kauffman's novel. They argued that Joseph Byron Totten had acquired dramatic rights before selling them to Social Uplift. However, Judge Learned Hand ruled in favor of Photo Drama, allowing them to exhibit "The House of Bondage." This decision established that motion picture rights were separate from dramatic rights under copyright law.
